2021 Football Coaching Carousel

Almost guaranteeing they're 7-5 next season.

Pretty damning read about Harsin.

Former Auburn defensive lineman Lee Hunter posted Friday on Instagram that Harsin treats players “like dogs.”

Former Auburn safety Smoke Monday offered a nuanced take Friday that praised Harsin but also suggested he doesn’t communicate well with players from backgrounds different than his own. “Coach Harsin is a hell of a coach that wants to win,” Monday posted on Instagram, “but as a person he truly doesn’t understand kids that come from nothing, kids that come from the hood.”

That place is a mess. And it sounds like their coach is a mess. Yeesh

Good for 22. Hope he’s going to get paid.

Current ACC rotation is only listed through 2024 (UNC, Pitt, and GT are our next three cross division opponents), so not sure when we will play Miami next.

December in Charlotte, duh

Hate that he’s in our conference at another school. Glad it’s with a team that we basically don’t play.

If someone in the coastal is going to be good, I’d much rather it be Miami than UNC, Dook, Virginia, or Virginia Tech. We at least cross paths with those 4 on the recruiting trail.

It’s also good for the ACC overall to have good teams.

Thrilled for 22. My guess is this is a move to diversify his resume and his next gig is a head job.

Does this move really help Gattis? It's the same job at a lower program. I guess if he turns it around massively, it's just further proof he is good. But we already know that.

He needs to get a HC gig soon.

Harbaugh’s conservative approach was holding him back. Also Harbaugh is clearly itching to get back in the NFL so Josh gets to pick his spot. Also I’m sure there are worse places to be a multimillionaire than South Beach, like Ann Arbor, Michigan.

He also gets to live in Miami instead of Ann Arbor. That’s is a pretty huge upward move in a lot of ways.

That text could be anything from local fallout from the Flores lawsuit to UM powers that be telling him they’d be doing an outside search to replace Harbaugh or that another assistant would replace Harbaugh or Harbaugh wasn’t straight up with him about leaving or he’s just trying to poach some recruits or a combination thereof.

The U offers an opportunity to work with a talented QB at a program on the rise.

There were rumors that if Harbaugh left that Mike Hart who is the RB coach would be the in house HC candidate over Gattis. Hart is younger, has less experience and is lower on the food chain(Coordinator vs position coach) than Gattis but is an alum. Have to think that has something to do with that text he sent.

He was told by UM that he wouldn't be considered as HC if/when Harbough leaves. Makes sense to move on to at least have a chance at upward mobility.
