Official 2021-22 NBA Offseason Thread - Warriors extend Poole and Wiggins

It's crazy how deep this league is. Any dude could go off on any night if given the opportunity.

Damn. Wiggins dunked on KAT twice tonight. Dubs are 10-1.

Had no idea the Dubs got Otto Porter Jr. Not bad having a guy getting 16 MPG and shooting 47% from 3. Iggy isn't shooting well, but if he's having games with 10 Assists per night he's doing something out there. With Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II Stepping up all the sudden they look crazy deep once Klay comes back.

If Wiggins is out there playing defense and producing a little (and 35 pts tonight), all the sudden the Dubs look good.

The combined record of the team the warriors have played looks like absolute garbage though. They had to have had the easiest schedule in the league so far.

Only 3 road games too at Lakers, Kings, and Thunder and they win each one.

Tyrese Maxey finished the game with 33 points. Second straight 30+ point night for him. Ben last season had only one 30+ point night.

this Ben Simmons thing has gone from intriguing to depressing pretty fast

Rich Paul should be a persona non grata for any potential #clients

Not a good look for the NBA that mental health status is becoming the battleground in this situation. To your point, untold numbers of people are going to look at this situation and think mental health is bullshit -- after all, how can a young millionaire be depressed or anxious? Sure his life is in the spotlight and he's been relentlessly criticized by strangers, but he's rich and plays basketball for a living, he has to be mentally stable.

Maybe Ben is pulling a hail mary and being a dirt bag, but there's no way to prove it and the NBA would do well to step in to this situation somehow and divert from the mental health angle. I'll be disappointed if this continues to drag out the way it's going.

Agree that the NBA and the Sixers will need to be careful with the mental health issue. That said, the Sixers and Simmons agreed to a contract that pays Simmons more than $140 million over this season and the next three. So, as with most disputes, this is going to come down to money. If Simmons doesn't play, the Sixers aren't going to want to pay him. Simmons' camp is setting this up to equate his mental health status to a torn ACL, meaning he should be paid while he rehabs, and if Ben never comes back, he still gets his $140 million. Tough situation. Obviously, "mental health" has moved out of the shadows and is increasingly recognized; however, it's not like Simmons' camp has a MRI of torn ACL confirming that his malady keeps him from playing.

still can't believe dude tried to sabotage what's become a breakout season for Maxey

league is just basically a 3PT contest these days, gets boring as hell. Unless you're doing Dame/Luka/Steph shit

But I don't need to be watching Jae Crowder jack up 10 threes a game

Surprised there's no 2&2 posts talkin about this whoppin of the Dubs

That was a great game and glad the Hornets got the win but man, that was a lot of Rozier ISO over the last few minutes. It worked out and he won the game for them but I would’ve liked to have seen a little more ball movement.

Bridges has really put it all together
