2021-22 Men's College Basketball Season - UNC v. Kansas for the Natty

Cassell is always nuts when little hoops brother goes up against big hoops brother. I liked the game a few years back when the Tech students were wearing those UMBC t-shirts (the year UVA won their natty). It was a good game too. I also like when they split the season series - makes the rivalry even better. Lunardi now has VT in his next 4 out. And fwiw, he has Wake and UNC in his last 4 byes. ACC teams not named Duke still have considerable work to do.

Tubby Smith stepping down as High Point coach. His son, GG Smith, will coach the team for the rest of the season. High Point lost at Longwood last night in the 1011th and last game of Tubby's coaching career.

Is he not well? Seems odd to not ride the rest of the season out otherwise.

Giving his kid a shot at keeping the job next year he would not have gotten otherwise?

Tubby's only 70 which isn't that old nowadays.

Georgetown is 0-13 in conference.

Other than DePaul at home they are going to be large dogs in every other remaining game. Didn't take long for G'town to lose the shine off winning the Big East Tourney last year. Will be interesting to see what G'town does at the end of the season. Ewing is a the favorite son of that program, but they are in a bad place. In addition to the losing, no one goes to G'town games. Unless they are playing Villanova or another team that brings fans, G'town has to work to get 2,000 people to attend games. Sad days for a proud program.

Brings back memories of Jefferson Pilot and Food Lion commercials on Raycom.

Rutgers is about to have consecutive wins against #13 Mich St., #16 Oh St., #14 WI, and #12 Illinois. Pretty impressive.

Four-straight Quad 1 wins this late in the season is sick. They have a chance for four more in their next four games!
