2023 WF Baseball - Schedule Released

Game 1 is underway in South Bend

Deacs down 2-0 after 2

ND pitcher Bertrand is a LHP with a 1.61 ERA, grad student, was all-ACC last year in his first year at ND after transferring in from Furman

Being down 2-0 early against him seems less than ideal

Turconi error, Wilken K, and no energy so far. They better pick it up or tonight could be a loss that shouldn’t happen.
 
Well, another very good ACC starter we seem to have difficulty hitting. He would be the 6th so far if his pattern continues. 1 hit in 4 innings....

We: like hitting into a DP after 2 nice singles and 1 out...ho hum....🙄

they didn't. ND pitched a bullpen game last Friday. Bertrand pitched Saturday, gave up 2 runs in 6 innings and left with a lead, which was blown by the bullpen
 
And our luck.....ump calls time for rain/lightening just as we were bldg momentum. Bases loaded, 0 outs, still 4-1

Not sure it would take that long. Sounds like there bullpen might be weakness so they may try to avoid going there, but 84 pitches and having given up 3 hits you would normally expect a possible change shortly.
