Shame on Deacon fans

Where are the students?

Bring back the tie dyes. Don't care if they were ugly. They were AWESOME.

There's been a varying number of students at each game from probably around 30 for the first few to a solid 200-300 against Northwestern. Most students don't even sit in the student section anymore because the nicer seats are left empty by season ticket holders or "flex" plan holders who aren't attending the games early in the year. We will be there in much larger numbers for ACC play next semester especially if we keep winning. The first two home games with the whole student body back are Duke and Carolina. The big thing to note is that students won't feel as interested or inclined to go to games if the rest of the arena is empty and depressed. It's a two part effort that needs to come from fans and students alike to create an atmosphere. The good thing about the Joel is that it's two levels, so instead of downsizing it we could just transfer upper deck tickets to the lower deck for smaller games. A packed lower deck would create a great atmosphere without worrying about upstairs.

Well said and I agree.

Oh and here's this. I love our basketball coach.
