Does Pitt travel well?
just walked past about 100 Pitt students queueing outside (!) for ACC Championship tickets
semi-aquatic like otters be.
Has Pitt sold out their allotment yet?
that might be why - the kids were all camped out and the one I talked to said that there was a whole "debacle"
semi-aquatic like otters be.
So they couldn't just sign up online?
just passing along what I saw
semi-aquatic like otters be.
Pitt is doing this deal for students:
Students get lodging, a ticket, and transportation to the game for $90 per person.
They’re currently only providing that deal with lodging for 150 students and without lodging for an additional 250 students. Sounds like they’re trying to get that number up to 1k students with some more donations. It’s all first come first serve which is why students are camping out.

That's a great deal. Well done, Pitt.
Defensive Efficiency Ratings for the teams WF has played:
5. Clemson
12. NC State
28. Pitt
40. FSU - believe we caught them at a good time
55. Boston College
56. Army
<59. Wake Forest>
68. Syracuse
69. Louisville nice
76. ODU
81. UNC
108. UVA
115. Duke
so, Pitt is a tier below Clemson/NC State, but better than the rest of our schedule on the defensive side of the ball.
potential bowl opponents: Ole Miss #35, UCLA #67, Arizona State #27
Pitt has an elite rush defense, but their weakness is their pass D (it's actually rated slightly lower than WF's). Pitt has a strong d-line. They are going to follow the Clemson script and bring constant pressure on the WF o-line, hoping to get to Hartman. Seems like everyone is picking Pitt. The cap is the same: two good offenses, but the WF defense is dreadful. It's a tough matchup, but it should as it for the conference title. Defense will need to play their best game of the year.
have been surprised to learn that pitt's d isn't that bad but their offense is a bit overrated based on a lot of advanced stats.
they are only 40th in the offensive effiency ratings from FO (https://www.footballoutsiders.com/st...veralloff/2021), we are 6th.
some interesting stuff here on our offense:
points per drive - 4th in the country
touchdown rate - 6th
first down rate (drives with at least one first down) - 61st (not overly surprising but still interesting to see -- worst among top 20 offenses)
turnover rate - 54th (kinda surprising -- worst among top 10 offenses)
