2021 WF Football Transfers Thread

Bobo committed to UCLA, so your great national nightmare is over. Now we can focus on Zach Evans to Wake.

Have heard murmurs that not only are Auburn fans unhappy with Harsin, Harsin isn't happy at Auburn either. Sounded like his agent was working hard for an offer from either Washington or Oregon.

Did he provide his "Aaron Rodgers immunization card" along with his cover letter when applying for that job?

Anti-vaxers are an automatic eliminating criteria in the Pac 12 after the Nick Rolovich debacle at Wazzu.

Braxton Burmeister, VaTech QB, into the portal as a grad transfer.

Richmond DT Kobie Turner to Wake for his final year of eligibility.

That's a big get. Huge need at DT as well.

Good sign to beat VT out for a kid they seemed to prioritize in VA.

Arkansas rFr OT Ray Curry, Jr. into the portal. 6-6, 310. Most of SEC was recruiting him, along with UVA and others. Don't think he's coming to Wake, but would be great to get someone like that.

Not a good sign that an offensive lineman is transferring out of a Sam Pittman program.

Awesome. Kid seems pretty monte in general, double majored in music and math (https://www.flofootball.com/article...monds-kobie-turner-beats-blockers-like-a-drum). I tried to look up some highlights on YT but instead found a bunch of open mic performances.

Hopefully he can step into Fox's role, although probably a crapshoot with these FCS guys. Mustapha was impressive but Wingfield (who was 1st team all-con at Harvard) could barely get on the field for us when we were at full strength at corner.

Good sign that we beat VT out (especially since they played Richmond this year and saw him first hand -- although not sure how much of the staff was retained)

Was likely going to be a backup next year so understandable as a 6th year player to want to go start somewhere. Will be missed as depth though especially with Smenda’s propensity for targeting penalties.

He’s in Jacksonville and planning on playing in the Gator Bowl

Tight end grad transfer offered. Mentioned on the recruiting thread.

I see linebacker and defensive back as positions of greater need.
