I see nothing about him being unvaxxed. just some articles where he says the mandates are dumb… which they are.

He looked like a dude that could be quadruple vaxxed and still die of covid.

This. He may very well have been unvaccinated, I don't know. It's unsavory for people to speculate regardless.

It's important to remember that he made his money gigging and that the pandemic has really cut into live performance money. Many of his remarks I read as frustration with that.
 
Of course vaccine mandates are part of the public health strategy to make live performances safe.
