maybe we could get Lance for cheap
Nah, Lance would be part of that deal. It's gonna be NO. Makes too much sense from both sides.
Then think that would mean Jimmy G to Indy, as they won't trade him to Seattle, which also means few teams bidding for Jimmy G against Indy. Which then probably means Seattle drafting a QB at #9 and getting Mariota as the gap QB. Which means Jameis could get left out in the cold. Jameis is likely the 1 cursing Brady returning. So you might be able to get him on the cheap - he's better than Darnold.
The Saints don’t seem like they have the slam dunk great roster like they did 3-4 years ago (Armstead could leave, they just lost Williams, and who knows what is going on with Thomas), plus everyone’s favorite shitbag coach is gone
This is going to be one of those things that comes out that the Saints and Panthers offered a shit ton to get him but because of the no trade clause they accepted a less than stellar offer and he goes to the Falcons for significantly less.
Seems like it’s in his benefit to be traded for his little as possible so the team to which he’s sent isn’t completely depleted. So he should only waive the clause for the teams that don’t kill the selves trying to get him; throw ego out the window for the sake of wins.
Trubisky sucks but he’s not the train wreck Darnold is and he came cheap. If Tepper, Rhule, and Fit are determined to start a QB who isn’t Darnold, Trubisky would have been one of the best of the bad options.
This franchise has made so many obviously bad decisions in the last two years.
if i remember correctly - we do get a comp pick if/when gilmore signs elsewhere
so the entire division is angling hard for watson (bucs before brady came back too). do we really think all of those teams don't know if he's playing next year?
watson has a career record of 28-26
we'd be so far away from contending if we had to give up multiple draft picks and talented young players
How about any other FAs? More comp picks would be huge. That would give some flexibility to trade future mid-round picks.
No comp picks this year though. Comp picks moved the rest of the Panthers picks to 107, 144, 149, and 200.

he led the league in passing yards (4,823), yards per attempt, yards per catch. 70% completion, 33 TDs and 7 INTs. he didn't exactly have a stud WR corps either
look at what darnold and cam did last year and we still won 5 games. i have no idea how they won 4 games with that QB play

CMC won 3 1/3 of those games.
This year’s comps are from last year’s free agency.
