"One of the largest events" in Groves Stadium history | Paul McCartney Sat, May 21

I mean Paul is playing SoFi stadium on this tour. And he's also playing at Wake, so it's definitely a big get.

I'm not saying it's not a big get. It's definitely a big deal and worthy of an announcement from Wake. Just pushing back on the idea that it (along with 3 other dead artists) is among the biggest/most impactful possible concerts in 2022

I mean when you're booking professional football stadiums you're one of the biggest acts around.

Concerts at Bank of America Stadium in 2022 include: Billy Joel, Kenny Chesney, Motley Crue, Red Hot Chile Peppers, and Elton John. Certainly all big names, but there's a wider range of artists that can sell tickets at football stadiums than you are implying here

Sure but just saying that it wouldn’t ruin the field.

you can't fit an oval between the field and the stands

The Coliseum hosted the Olympics T&F and obviously has a much bigger footprint inside the seating area

looking at that pic it is crazy he'll be playing SoFi and MetLife and then that

Even if y'all don't think it's a big deal, I'm sure the city of Winston-Salem would disagree with you:

Pretty strong company.

I've always said that Winston-Salem is the Spokane of the East Coast.

Perhaps billy told him it was a great place to play

I imagine the setup and tear down might be easier than some other stadiums, since you can drive the semis right up close to the stage area. And the field house right behind the stage with plenty of backstage room. How important are those factors? Not as important as # of tickets sold I'm sure. But they could book Carter-Finley or BofA but didn't. Could be scheduling reasons.

McCartney should pull his music off Spotify so he can get the attention of millennials and younger kids in order to make more money.

Is that a leftover flag from Neil Fingleton day using forced perspective to make it look scoreboard sized?
