NFL Year 2022. Superbowl Winner: Kansas City Chiefs!

ESPN NFL reporter John Clayton died today at 67.

Matt Ryan to the Colts for a 3rd. Lol they really are just going all in on the QB rental market.

Everyone is reporting that Atl has traded or will be trading Ryan to Indy. Just send all your good QBs not named Rodgers and Stafford to the AFC. Which also means Indy wasn't (as) interested in trading for Jimmy G or Baker. They'd rather have a temporary 2-3 year cure in Ryan. And that 3rd year is being generous. So Jimmy G ends up in the NFCS, and 1 of Baker and Jameis ends up in the NFCS and 1 in Seattle.

Really sucks for Tide since they filmed Matty Ice in a Falcons jersey for the Tide Cold commercial.

So Atlanta really thinks they're better off with one of those washouts for the next two years instead of Ryan ? Or are they just in tank mode ?

Look forward to seeing who wins the NFC and gets promoted to the AFC next season

The latter and they're probably doing Ryan a solid by trading him to a contender. But now the AFC could have 10 of the best 11-12 teams in the league. Atlanta is going to suck with or without Ryan, so it makes sense to start over with a younger QB this year, suck and fight Carolina and maybe Seattle for Stroud/Young next year. Ridley is doing his part to assist in the sucking.

So in other words, you don't actually believe that Jimmy G, Jameis, or Baker winds up in Atlanta. None of them will be in Charlotte either.

Does Indy pay his $7.5 million roster bonus that vests today (supposed to be paid on Friday but Matt agreed to extend)?

No, Atl gets 1 of those 3 or maybe even Mariota. Depends how much Cle and SF want for their QBs. With Jameis and Mariota out there for free, I don't know that any team is offering a 1 for Baker or Jimmy G. Turns out Brady returning really hurt the Jimmy G market value.

PFF reported this has been paid on a podcast I listened to this weekend.

Going to be tough for the Panthers to lose the division and get Stroud with the upgrades they’ve made and considering Atlanta doesn’t have a QB.

Well, according to cville, Atlanta is going to get a better quarterback than Carolina, but still be terrible. So there's a chance.

So the NFC has maybe three good QBs? Brady, Rodgers and Stafford?

With a QB room of Mariota, Franks and Rosen, I really like Atlanta's chances of getting to the BCS National Title Game this year.

LOL at Felipe Franks going to a CFB title game.

There's only one quarterback in the State of Georgia who has actually taken a team to the title game and his name is Stetson.
