So you want to know how reputation works?

  1. Every user starts off with 10 reputation points.
  2. You must reach 50 posts before you can give or take away reputation
  3. You can use the reputation system if you have less than 50 posts, but it will not give or take anything away. It won't update once you hit 50 posts either. This effectively makes using the reputation system before you have 50 posts useless.
  4. Normal users can give 1 reputation point or take 1 away.
  5. admins can give and take away 10 rep.
  6. moderators conform to normal reputation rules.
  7. You must distribute reputation to 5 different people before going back to the first.
  8. You can only distribute reputation to 10 users per day.
  9. Every 30 days, users earn 1 point of reputation altering power.
  10. Every 1000 posts, users earn 1 point of reputation altering power.
  11. Every 100 reputation points a user receives, earns them 1 point of reputation altering power.
  12. If you have less than 0 reputation. You cannot give or take reputation.

Feel free to post your questions.

Click User CP on the top toolbar. If you have any, it'll show up under subscribed threads.

#s 1 and 2 seem unbalanced

Does #3 count for negative rep? Does a user with -500 have 5x the altering power of someone with +50?

I don't think #3 counts for negative rep.

Also, is there an option to automatically ignore posters with negative rep?

How do you see someone else's reputation points (other than the green squares)

Why do I have to wait so long to neg rep FTDC in succession? DO NOT LIKE.
