Another Big Six scalp alert: Marshall up 72-69 on Cincinnati with 8.4 to go in overtime.

Marshall has some big time talent, but most of it is young.

Marshall scores to go up 4.

Marshall wins. The downward spiral of the UC basketball program continues. The Herd looks to be pretty decent though.

Last Backyard Brawl ever?
If WVU leaves next year, what does the BE do with 7 teams? Do SU and Pitt then leave next year as well?

Ah. Ok. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I do feel bad for Wake basketball fans (I'm really not so much, though I did root for Prosser because of his personality and being an Ohio Valley guy). ASU was beaten by 15-20 a lot of the game against Fairfield and then is up 30+ over Wake? Stunning.

This is what ASU has to be, though. Moving without the ball, aggressive, getting the ball into the lane almost every trip.

Wake is in the same place tonight that ASU was last night. Wake fans will want to see a response like ASU's tonight.

What Syracuse and Pitt do is on them. I think WVU is gone and will dare the Big East to do something about it. They already let TCU out early, so the precedent is set. Worst case, WVU has to pay what the Big East asks and they get out early. With Holgorsen's roots in the Midwest, time is of the essence. They're already getting some additional recruiting attention from kids in Texas as a result of the Big XII move.

I don't think the western schools will go to the Big East without WVU in it. That's how important them leaving was.

Speaking of which, this game is so annoying. WVU cannot block (thanks Bill), and the defense is doing a great job but not getting help. Special teams awful, and a 250 pound WR gets the ball stripped in the secondary.

This game is right there for WVU but they've been determined to not take it, it seems.

God Geno Smith is such an idiot. Tries to throw the interception, then throws it to a covered guy for a loss of yardage.

Just throw it over his head out of bounds and play 4th and 1.

Holgorsen makes the right call to go for it on 4th and 6. Even if they hadn't gotten it...you're down 6, you go for the score to take the lead.

Agreed.

Love the guy in the booth...."this is the wrong call, even if it works out it is the wrong call"

one minute later WVU takes the lead.

Especially since it was the right call regardless. With how much trouble WVU was having getting Donald blocked, the personal foul and then the pass gainer with him out presented an opportunity you might have trouble recreating.

Plus WVU has had bigtime trouble with field goal teams this year. Freshman holder, blocking problems...they would control their own destiny in the conference if not for a blocked kick for a TD. Field goals aren't automatic in college by any stretch.

It was the right call.

And then can't f'ing tackle a guy with his back to you. Pathetic.

Gotta take your hat off to this defense. Much maligned, you can't blame them no matter how this goes. Tremendous coverage there forced Sunseri to take the sack or throw it away. Made no difference which, really.

Lol Sunseri...

What the hell?

He's always had that problem, but that was simply stunning.

4th down conversion that was the "wrong call" was the difference in the game. Who the hell was that commentator? He needs to be working at the snack bar.

Call should have stood whatever it was. There was no definite proof either way.

So it was you that was commentating the game.

You should be working at the snack bar.

What's so hard about seeing that the guy's knee landed on the line? This isn't soccer or volleyball. If it's not green, it's out.
