And yet you still come back to post on this thread after each time United drop points. I don't think you have anything better to do with your time.

Don't be ridiculous, Man U has been way worse than that. They drop points on a regular basis now.

Btw, the guy was talking about Woodward, not Moyes.

That should be obvious by the fact that it was posted well after Moyes was out of the picture.

"Aug 17 2014"

Moyes was sacked in April you moron.

Refer to above Vine for further comment.

When you call somebody a moron you might want to make sure you have the facts correct.

That was from after the home loss to Man City last season. In March.

Maybe you shouldn't go by a vine's post date as a reference point? Maybe you shouldn't be such a dumb shit hick?

He was WRONG on the INTERNET. I couldn't just let that shit stand! There are rules, this is not 'Nam.

I think you missed the point, which was that my time for you is very limited.

Typing that took me about 45 seconds. Good night.

I'm still of the opinion the Van Gaal only succeeds with the talent level he possesses. This ManU team has 5th written all over it.

Same, maybe not even that. They're 6th now with their schedule having consisted of last year's 5th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 17th, and 3 promoted sides, and have Chelsea, City and Arsenal in the next 4 fixtures. For the team he has right now, 5th may well be optimistic. We'll see what the Glazers allow him to do in January.

He tried his best to break Barcelona the second time around, got worse with them his first time, and was placed 4th with Bayern (that has to be classed as almost impossible in this era) when he was sacked there in his 2nd year, and the biggest thing that got him to that point was having inherited Muller. And the Bundesliga and La Liga are a completely different ballgame in terms of competitiveness from England, and I think Van Gaal has found that out in failing to beat any of WBA, Burnley, Sunderland and Leicester.

It's most interesting to me that Moyes started better against a tougher schedule, and yet Van Gaal is being treated with kid gloves where Moyes was already being criticized. I guess it's true what they say about not wanting to follow the legend, at least in this case. I know guys that followed the legend and were just as good, but their supporters were, shall we say, less insane.

Had to leave Man U to score at Anfield.

How'd Man U do in the Champions League?

In non-midtable futbol news...

Interesting times these are in the "we're too good for you, hillbillies" ACC. UNC deserves about 300 years of tournament bans in every sport based on the standard the NCAA set in the late 90s with Clem Haskins and Minnesota. Syracuse is on deck. Notre Dame has an 18 year old dating a porn star nearing menopause. FSU has the new Jamarcus Russell for a QB and Lord knows how many violations he's led to that may or may not ever be discovered. And John Swofford is still ACC commissioner, somehow.

The idea that PackPride is the watchdog of the ACC is pretty surreal. I find myself wondering if UNC had gone down in the 90s whether Herb Sendek would still be at NC State and have them rolling like he was on the way to doing when they ran him out. About the only injustice to the whole deal...that people that played fair in the past were put at a disadvantage going against fraudulent rivals.

Thank you, ACC egotists, for forcing WVU to look elsewhere and enabling them to evade this cesspool of a conference.

I'd argue that the biggest threat to America is the Morgantown Fire Department.

I like the idea that bringing WVU into the current ACC would clean up our look.

Probably true.

WVU suspended its best DB for 2 games for breaking up a fight involving his girlfriend. Jameis Winston has gotten nothing for ...well, a lot of things.

Alternative Premier League table
Chelsea +4
Southampton +2
Man City -3
Liverpool -5
Spurs -7
Arsenal -9
Everton -11
Man U -12

If Man U won 10 straight games (fat chance), they'd be -6. Chelsea will be +6 if they win at Man U (and Man U -15). It's a long, LOOOONG road back for Man U.

Update?

This is pretty amazing. Only one team of the presumed top 7 is playing at a top 4 clip right now, and Everton and Man U are all but gone. In the previous 3 years of the APLT, no team has gotten to -10 before Game 10, and none of those teams finished higher than 6th.

33 games to go. 99 points to play for.

Any analysis is very premature right now.

Except that it isn't at all.

I forget who it is, but someone on my Twitter has like a quantitative method (meaning the computer doesn't know who is supposed to be good) that has like a 2/3 success rate at picking the top 4 based on 3 games. And James Grayson has had a really good handle on the season since before it even started (his method picked Southampton 4th).

I could go into a lot more detail, but since you say it's premature I can't imagine you're actually interested.

You're right, I'm not.
I'd be floored if Southampton finished 4th, and I've been a person hyping up their signings and manager on here. I think 7th is their ceiling.

Even if you wanted to believe in computer programs, there simply isn't enough data out there after 5 matches (2 after the transfer window shutting) to tell us anything. At this point in September they are just guessing like any person would be doing after 5 weeks.

Man, there were some gems in this thread from August/September, but I think this exchange takes the cake to show how fucking stupid Kanho-boy is about football. What a clueless clown.

I wonder why he hasn't posted lately?

because the B12 got left out of the college football playoff, duh

Nice showing today by the Mountaineers and the rest of the Big 12.
