I was amazed how many people on r/golf sided with the cheater/attacker here.

If the dude calling out the attacker/cheater is full of shit... I have a feeling that not just the attacker/cheater would have a problem with it.

Solid bullrush though

I'm kind of surprised incidents like that don't happen more frequently at or around the course and clubhouse.

Just back from a week with the boys golfing Mesquite, Nevada.
85 miles north of Las Vegas; reasonable $$ ($1400/man- 8days/7 nights in a four man condo including 6 rounds of golf/cart)
Great Golf Courses; hard as nails but amazing. (Wolf Creek was numero uno, but all solid.)
Plenty to do night life with decent casinos/food.
Home Run; def worth the look.

I had a wake-up call regarding my equipment last week. I was playing with a friend at his club in Stuart, FL. I didn’t want to lug/ship my clubs, so his club set me up with a loaner set - Adams Blue irons and woods with 55 gram, Lite shaft flex. That’s a senior club. I’m playing irons with an 85 gram, stiff shaft.

I almost said something when they were loading them onto the cart, but I thought, it’s my friend’s club, I’m a guest, don’t want to be a dick. So I just said thanks.

For three days, I hit those clubs better than any I’ve owned for five or six years. Consistency, distance, tragectory. All better. So I’m sixty-three and in the market for new irons. I wouldn’t have believed it.

How's the song go, "I'm as good once as I ever was"? At our age, swallowing our pride and getting new clubs and maybe moving up a set of tees is a well-earned privilege.

I am playing with irons older than some on these boards- Taylormade Bubble Shafts with graphite shafts. I went for a club fitting and they recommended senior shafts for me as well. I probably hit them better, but I was shocked at how short the machine estimated my distance. Approximately 20 yards shorter than I expected.

Do you guys have any tips on purchasing used equipment off ebay? I'm looking to upgrade my existing set of no-name/knock off clubs by piecing something together off ebay.

I'm a high handicap golfer, who plays about 12 times per year and I'm thinking about:

Driver - Big Bertha Alpha 10.5 or Aeroburner
Irons - Callaway X hot or Steelhead XR
Woods/Hybrids - probably Adams
Wedges - probably Tom Watson or Cleveland RTX
Putter - Odyssey White Hot Pro

I've purchased pre owned clubs from the ebay stores below and all were in near perfect condition. Highly recommend going this route

You can get some good equipment thats only a year or two old for pretty cheap on Ebay. Just make sure the seller has a good reputation and you should be in good shape.

I appreciate the advice and links to ebay sellers. I got a deal on a set of TaylorMade AeroBurner irons that look to be in excellent condition; they should be a nice upgrade over the no-name junk I've been swinging the last few years.

Finally getting warm enough to get out and play as much as I like. Ended last golf season playing Cabot Links/Cliffs. Awesome and highly recommend.

Vegas and Scotland golf trips planned this season, plus some day trips to Pinehurst and Eagle Point.

Anyone play #4 since the reno?
