Charleston Dining/Attractions

I definitely like Cypress better than Magnolias or Blossom, the other two restaurants in that group.

Since you're on that part of East Bay you can definitely hit the rooftop bars at the Vendue Inn (19 Vendue Range): http://blog.vendueinn.com/category/charleston_south_carolina_bars/

and the rooftop bar at the Market Pavilion Hotel (225 East Bay St): http://www.marketpavilion.com/index.cfm?page=pavilion

Chicks, in general, dig rooftop bars (unless it's windy (then they get whiny)).

I actually prefer the other two more, though Cypress has teh best bar/drinks of the 3.

thanks for the recs. if we go up to the rooftops, I'll try not to whine. (weather should be really nice this weekend I think)

Haha, but it tastes awesome, the rest of the menu is pretty good too. I don't dislike any of the three.

I notice that no one on this thread ever mentions The Charleston Grill, but it's one of the most highly reviewed restaurants in Chuck Town. What's the deal?

Petter is already in Charleston this weekend? Man, now I gotta change my plans.

Has anyone been to the Inn at Middleton Place? Got a groupon deal for a few weekends from now that i'm taking the GF down for. Looked pretty sweet form the interwebs but we know how that can be.

I don't think Middleton Place would be a very convenient place to stay, but of you're into old plantation houses on the river it's top notch. Tours shouldn't take much more than a couple of hours. I don't know much about the inn, but I suspect they have a lot of wedding parties there.
