A Ghost on Tobacco Road: Five years later, the late Skip Prosser still looms over WF

Nice profile of a great man, that could have done without the Bz bashing. It may be true, but doesn't belong in this article.

Damn good article. That guy should write a book, or a blog at least.

A nice piece, which unfortunately included a reference to an alleged sexual assault that was irresponsible and unnecessary in an attempt to make a point that is not factual. The author would have been well-advised to have reconsidered that paragraph and edited it out before submission. It detracted from an otherwise good article.

Can anyone translate this piece of keeperese?

Sure. He is pointing out that it is inaccurate to say that the atmosphere at the Joel now is the same as it was when Skip arrived. He is correct. The current atmosphere for home games is much worse than it was then. Skip made it much, much better ... the best ever. The pendulum has swung way past where it was.

Great read. It doesn't bash Bzz, it simply states the truth. To say it doesn't belong is erroneous. The article is about more than just Skip. It is about the promise we showed in the first half of last decade and how it all truly collapsed on that July day in 2007. You can't tell the story of Skip's impact without including current events. Whether right or wrong, every coach we have is going to be judged according to Skip's legacy. If that coach is winning, the comparisons will be favorable.

I wonder if Baby or sig will get the mountain of personally sick Neg I got for saying the same thing.

Yeah - talking about clothes and cars is highly relevant and not in anyways a cheap shot.

To be fair, they are hardly the poster that you are. Haters gonna hate, amirite?

If you're going to explain the contrast between the coaches (both on and off the court) it's relevant. The article wasn't written just for Wake fans. We know the two coaches are different; outsiders don't. A cheap shot would be making fun of Bzz's mother; pointing out the differences betwen him and our late coach is not.

Superb article. Its painful to think of what we almost became, especially compared to what we are now.

That piece was ghost written. Even Stevie Wonder could see that!
