Miami just not the job it once was back in their hey day. Terrible stadium situation and too many big time NFL guys chiming in on how things ought to be run. And in today's times they can't do it that way anymore. Donna Shalala served as school president from 2001-2015 [until she suffered a stroke in Sept] and raised them to #51 in the US News rankings of universities [they peaked at #38 in 2012]. They are in the center of big time talent from Florida but can't quite get them all in like they used to. Their mid-range SAT scores are from 1220-1420. Times have changed for The U.
You realize you're talking about having a Top 15 class versus a Top 5 class? It is still a rare event for them to have a class outside the Top 25.
The right coach easily gets them back to having Top 10 classes annually.
