Official ACC Basketball Thread: UVA beats Maryland in overtime!

UNC taking FSU to the woodshed early. The 12.5 point line was easy money.
 
North Carolina starting to look scary. Destroying FSU right now, up 16 late first half. For all the hand-wringing about the state of the conference, the ACC is going to have 5 teams with a good shot at making the R32.

I don't think they're that safe. Their profile is so weird that they could very well get to 12-6 and be the surprise team that misses the tournament. It just depends on if the committee decides to emphasize good wins (of which they have plenty) or avoiding bad losses (and they have 6 sub-100 losses).

I think they got rid of record in last 10 as an "official" stat, but I'm sure its taken into account. I think UVA is a damn good team, but I just can't ever remember a resume that looked quite like theirs. They could get a better than expected seed or just miss entirely depending on what the committee wants to emphasize.
 
UVA was really really fortunate to be granted a timeout there.

Guess I jinxed them. Still think they are in good shape to make the tourney. @ FSU this week is suddenly a huge game though.

That game shows why no one is really afraid to play UVA. Yea they can play with elite teams. But theylir style if play also leads to then losing to anyone
 
Wake now tbe 11 seed in the ACC Tourney still with time this week to snatch rhe DFL 12 seed!
 
does 12 seed play 5 and 11 seed play 6 in the acc tourney?
