Breaking Bad - Final Season - SEASON 5 (Part II) Premieres Aug. 11

yeah followed his cell signal, as soon as he realized he was alone out there and saw a car was coming he switched batteries or somethings

I didn't see anything to tell me that the location should mean anything to Jack's crew, other than Walt gave them coordinates which is odd for anyone except Walt. I guess they can start asking the why here question, but they can also just as easily realize a bunch of shots have been fired, DEA guys are dead and maybe we should get the hell out of here in case they called for back-up.

In the flashforward from first episode of season 5, Walt left a tip for the waitress with a $100 bill, so it seems like he still has the money.

One way I could see this playing out is Hank and Gomez both die in the shootout. Walt and Jessie are taken by Todd's crew and forced to cook for them. Somehow, Walt ends up faking his death and disappearing to New Hampshire using Saul's vacuum guy. This seems to fit in with Carol's reaction to seeing Walt in this season's flashforward. She looked like she'd seen a ghost. He tells Skyler to release the Confession tape so that Hank is pegged as Heisenberg and they still have the money. Walt comes back to ABQ in the end with the M60 to free Jessie (proving that he truly does care about him) and takes the ricin, going out on his own terms like he claimed he wanted to in season 1.

Knowing Gilligan, this is all probably WAY off.

Maybe the Ricin is going to be used to kill Jack's entire crew. They are not exactly cautious around the cook, with no one but Todd wearing the masks. Maybe Walt puts the ricin vial in one of machines that kicks out the steam and everyone in the room dies.

i like this theory - the fact that those guys refused the masks seems like something that could come up again.

yeah this makes way too much sense, ha

It's obvious Hank and Gomez both die in this shootout. Jesse either dies or somehow escapes, but I think it is less likely that happens. I am not sure Lydia and the neo-Nazi's kidnap them and force them to cook, but I do think Walt will either be on the run from Lydia because he agreed to cook for them, or Jesse, if Jesse somehow escapes.

With Jane appearing in the next episode, I think Jesse either finds out about the circumstances surrounding her death OR jesse dies and she is in the flashback of some sort. She hasn't been seen in over 2 seasons, so I have no idea how else they would work her in.

I think it's pretty clear Walt isn't running from the DEA in the final flashfowards. The gun he buys isn't the type of gun he is going to use to shoot cops. It's to shoot the neo-nazi's or an angry Jesse. I don't remember there being police tape surrounding his house in the first episode of this season, and kids were playing in it, and Walt was not afraid to revisit it at some point. I think either Jesse or Marie, after Hank is killed, goes crazy and vandalizes it. I think Walt then fakes his own death and goes on the run, which explains why Carol acted like she had seen a ghost in the first episode.

I have no idea what happens to Skyler and Walt Jr. I am not sold that they die. I think they may go into protection if the neo-nazi's are after Walt's family. I assume Jr will find out about what is really going on before the show ends.

I could be way off, but I don't see either Jesse or Walt cooking anything else before the show ends. If they wanted Walt and Jesse to cook that badly, they both would have been kidnapped long before now.

I love the idea of Walt redeeming himself by saving Jesse in some way, but I think that's too optimistic for this series. Everything about this season tells us its not going to end well.

The only thing that makes me think otherwise was when Gilligan was quoted saying that the ending was in a small way a victory for Walt. I think he loses his real family, but saves Jessie (his son in the world where he really lives).

Hank and Gomez die. That ends the shootout, from there I think Walt weasels him and Jesse out of it. Not sure where it goes from there but I just feel like Jesse can't die with 3 episodes left. And though there are others who know about Walt, Hank and Gomez are the only ones in the DEA who know. Their death gives Walt the chance to get away. Who knows but those are just my impressions. There's too much time left for it to just be Walt vs Todd's crew and the family... that wouldn't be a very rewarding payoff considering who the major players are in the series...

I'm starting to think Walt might get away with all this. Seems like he probably loses the family but I don't see him dead or in jail. Maybe dying alone of cancer is appropriate?

Losing family is more hurtful than jail time to Walt. It was always family above all else. He loses that, he has lost everything. He becomes Ozymandias: a decaying ruin that is the last remnant of an empire that once was.

Everyone involved- Cranston, Paul, Gunn, Brandt, Gilligan- have all said viewers will be satisfied with the ending.

Makes me think they're going to do a Sopranos fade to black.

Marie is going to go apeshit if Hank dies.

I was reading an article in the latest Entertainment Weekly, on-set at the shooting of one of the last few episodes of Breaking Bad. Walt is yelling to someone over a cell phone "Toe the line or you'll wind up like {Redacted}" . Also, Walt has something "extremely important in his possession, something more valuable than 1,000 gallons of methylamine, something that a certain someone desperately wants back".

Walt ends the call saying he's still got things left to do, and destroys the phone.

Now I'm curious as to what he has in his possession.

No way, that's been done. Would be super lame to do it again.

Holly? "Confession" DVD?

Walt gunning it to the desert with Jesse mocking him on the phone was such a great scene.

I am trying to recall the status of the vehicles during the shootout. I definitely remember Hank's SUV getting deflated. If Jack's do too, maybe Jessie is in only drive-ready vehicle and gets to escape that way?
