Totally Unofficial 2015/16 Premier League Thread (NWT)

good, promising young french cm

Arsenal and Inter were sniffing around him this past summer

Sounds like we've actually agreed terms with Rabiot/his mother and not with PSG. So it's sketchy.
(edited to clarify: that's what this article is claiming at least)

However, as one commenter points out, "It wouldn't surprise me too much if the contract extension is set up the way Reus' and Goetze's were. Long number of total years, but an early buyout. So the sale is happening anyway, but the controlling club gets a transfer fee." So maybe there's not much in the way of negotiation with PSG to worry about.

Rabiot-Bentaleb pivot? Yes plz.

An injury sub in the Arsenal match, but for once it's their opponent.

Nothing much happening overall.

Spurs have not been poor by any means (Lloris' flubbed clearance aside); Chelsea just look really deadly right now. Couple really bright chances for Tottenham that didn't find their way into the net and we're down 2-0 at half.

It's like playing Dook with JJ Redick or Trajan Langdon. One defensive fuck up and you know, you just know, they're gonna drain that 3. And the next one. And the next one.

Then again, I suppose "Chelsea are much better than Spurs" and "Chelsea are probably the best team in the league" aren't really breaking news items.

Not completely blaming Distin for the Hull goal but we have to bring another CB in ASAP, even with Stones coming back.

If today's scores stay the same then it will have been a good day for Manchester United.

Arsenal and Soton split the points. Everton drop points at home and Spurs predictably lose to Chelsea, who United isn't going to catch after our rough start.

I think we can catch Manchester City, so them going a goal down was nice...but then Aguero went Aguero and it is 4-1 now.

ALEXIS!

Ref missed a handball against Soton in the box, so Ramsey crossed it to Alexis who put it home.
