We go up 42-21 on this drive then I fully expect the backups to play the rest of the 4th quarter. I fully agree with playing them to win games, but no need to keep playing them when games are seemingly in hand for no immediate benefit.

Nah, play the starters for a half and don't let them know they will be playing for just one half. Keep them in the same mental mode that they need to be in despite playing for relatively nothing.

Play backups quarters 3 and 4. Have backups run into the stands and Cantona as many Philthy fans as possible.
 
I think Stafford was down before the fumble there actually. Not that it matters at all.

Garrett seems to have decided that the risk of a Romo pick 6 is too great. A 2 TD game with this much time is dangerous.

This is rich, considering what we've discovered about this iteration of the Panthers since the Super Bowl loss last year. You're right about Romo, though, it does make sense to risk your injury prone back-up QB in the meaningless minutes of an already decided game.

NFC playoffs should be good. Better if Wash makes it over Detroit, IMO.

AFC playoffs will suck until Steelers-Pats, but it might be worth the wait

Most of us were in elementary school or younger the last time the cowboys had playoff success

Rome was cool back in the day too
