Official NFL Playoffs Thread: Super Bowl 51 - Tom Brady GOAT

Rodgers/Roethlisberger/Brady- Playoff wins 46, Superbowl wins 7. That's what im talking about when I say quarterback matters when you have it in comparison to Alex Smith, Brock Osweiler, Matt Moore, etc...

I got it. Not sure how it was misconstrued.

Anybody with any sports intuition knew the Cowboys weren't making a serious run this postseason. You could just tell.

There is definitely a reason Brady, Rodgers, and Roethlisberger are all left.

But it is also foolish to say Das was to blame or they should have played Romo. Das had the third best QBR in the divisional round (ahead of Brady). The Cowboys D played like shit the entire first half, and the offensive staff should have fed Elliott earlier in the game when the Packers were playing a large amount of Nickel D.

They definitely shouldn't have played Romo, they never would have made the comeback with that choker in there. That said, Dak should get a lot of the blame. Do you think Brady or Roethlesburger or even Ryan spikes that ball or doesn't tell his WRs to stay in bounds? They all would know who was standing on the opposite sideline. Who watching that game didn't say "too much time left" when Bailey kicked the FG? Obviously a big part of that is being a rookie in that spot for the first time and perhaps he doesn't make that mistake again, but he is nonetheless the QB and deserves a good deal of the blame for fucking it up.

Has Andy Reid officially taken the "can't win in the playoffs" crown from Schottenheimer?
I don't understand how he doesn't have someone on staff to manage the clock at this point

Wasted so much damn time on their last drive

Now imagine you aren't a terrible human being.

The fuck are you even talking about?

ETA: Nevermind. I don't care. Stay sleazy, palma. Stay sleazy.

I read it as a play on McConaughey's speech at the end of A Time to Kill. Could be wrong.

I don't think that's quite fair. I'm admittedly probably biased but I thought the Packers Cowboys winner was headed to Super Bowl either way. I'm not terribly impressed with the Falcons (though maybe I should be) and I didn't think the Giants could beat the Boys a third time

I choose to blame the staff there over rookie but your point is valid

Nope. Cowboys weren't going to the Super Bowl. You could just tell.

Next year will be completely different for the Cowboys as they will have all of the pressure/scrutiny on them to win heading into the season before basically the entire OLine hits free agency, whereas this year nobody expected much of anything from them. As usual, Garrett will collapse under the pressure in glorious fashion. What is the over/under on Cowboys wins next year - 5.75?

They'll also get a 1st place schedule. Of course, depending on what happens in the offseason with the other three teams, the NFC East could go back to being terrible next year.
