The official LOL Harry Giles thread

Farouq is going to stuff the shit out of this fool next year and I for one CAN'T ALL-CAPS WAIT

The big ticket or whatever the hell He calls himself managed to score ZERO points in the NCAAT. That's pretty hard to do. You almost have to try to be that awful.

That simply demonstrates his unselfishness on the basketball court. A true leader on and off the court.

Has any college player ever scored zero points in an NCAA Tournament - despite being available to play as much as needed - and then been drafted in the first round?

This would be a first, wouldn't it?

They may be hiring at the Dairy Queen soon

The only guy worse on the court last night was the Eastern European stiff for South Carolina. That dude was Nikita bad.

Brilliant strategy by Danny Manning to trick K into thinking we wanted that stiff and getting him to waste a scholarship on him.

I'm wondering which of the following he'll finish his Duke career with...combination of points, minutes, blocks, fouls...or total minutes in an actual Duke classroom.

I'm trying to fathom the angst we would be feeling if Harry Giles had come to Wake, had the season he just had, then declared for the NBA Draft. Given God's level of hatred for us, I'm actually a little surprised this didn't happen.

Yeah, this would have sucked. But you could also easily say that we'd still have been a better team, possibly gotten better recruits along with him, and would be all but guaranteed at least one more year of JC. The schadenfreude is still fun and warranted, though.

How would it have worked if Giles had come to Wake? Assuming his health, would he and Collins have played together, pushing Dinos to the bench? Would have been nice to get that recruiting "win" against Duke, UNC, and Kentucky, and obviously I like to think if Giles had come to Wake, he would have had much better results being coached by Manning, but given what we saw from Giles at Duke and the likelihood that he leaves, it does seem like maybe it worked out okay for the ol' Deacs.

It seems pretty Wake Forest that our best stroke of luck in the last several years was not getting the number 1 recruit in the country.

No doubt that Manning would've been the target of a lot of criticism. Can see the posts claiming how much better Giles would've been had played under K.
