in addition to scoring more than opponent.

I believe our DBs will have much work to do.

It's USU. I thought this was a Tunnels thread.

Hard for me to pull against the US.

It's a little easier for some of you commie guys.;)

He's saying we can't have a self-defeating mentality.

This was one of my takeaways from the BC game, too. Their QB had such a bad game, that it made our D look a bit better than it was. Some of their guys were open, and with decent throws, they could have moved the ball pretty well. I know nothing about USU, but I guess we're going to learn a lot this week. The only other thing I'd mention is that I've seen a fair amount of comments of concern about Clawson's offense and play calling. That is far and away his forte. Don't worry about that. It is taking him a little while to get the players to he needs to execute, but he is a helluva play caller/offensive mind. I'm in Richmond and a Spider fan, too, and he is still loved here. He really is a lot like the Skip Prosser of football. But he gets to have a DC help with D!! That's a little tongue in cheek, but both Skip and Dave Clawson are extremely talented, and mostly in the art of being great and compassionate leaders. We're in great hands with Clawson.

Also LOVE that Dortch looks so good. He is reminding me of Santana Moss. He is going to be even more in the plans, even as a frosh, now that he's shown he can handle it. And so is Hinton. It will be fun to see this season unfold. we're still outmanned by the big boys, but we'll hold our own.

I see that their QB was 24/26 against Idaho St. That concerns me.

I would take a look at what they did against Wisconsin in the first half of that game when Wisc was pretty uninterested in the game. I think Wake is a little closer to Wisconsin in the IDGAF mode than Idaho State. Of course, once Wisc became interested (in the second half) it was no longer a contest.

One interesting wrinkle from the Wisc game is that their starting QB apparently kicked the first punt. Their regular punter kicked after that. They may have a trick play from punt formation. He also is a decent runner.

I was watching. It was a quick kick on 4th and short inside Winconsin territory. They lined up like they were going to go for it and the QB pooch punted it. Our team better be ready or we could lose, they whipped us pretty good at their place a couple of years ago. We're better now and need to keep showing it.

We were horrible on offense 3 years ago. We had no decent running backs, a true freshman QB, a true freshman center, and no talented receivers. The freshman center is now third string as a senior. The talent upgrade for the offense has been impressive. The lack of creativity with the offensive scheme is the only complaint I have with Clawson.

It's time for Wake Forest to kick Utah State in the teeth and lay a beat down on those blue and white Aggies like the red-headed ginger step child that they are.
