I mean this in the nicest way, but why would a school like ETSU give Randolph a chance? He has been on two of the worst staffs in NCAA history. I hope he finds a place under a great coach and is successful there.
 
I'd love to see Manning's claim for $15,000,000 go to court. Where he would have to convince a group of normal working folks on the jury that he is still owed that kind of money for losing like he did, having kids transfer out at the rate that they did, and graduating as few as he did. As an added bonus, I would love to see Wellman on the stand, as well as everyone else in Wake's administration who signed off on the deal. It'll never happen but I'd love to see it.

Time for Randolph to move into fundraising with the Deacon Club. If he wants to be a head coach, I imagine it would be high school level. No slight, there are great high school coaches across the country. He has a lot to prove in the coaching department.

Conor is a good dude and a good reporter but glad a lot of his stuff was wrong on this one

Getting an inside scoop on coaching searches so that we can know who's being hired 24-48 hours early is wayyy down on the list of things that are important to me about the way that you do your job. That as a Wake fan and one of your consistent readers. Keep on keeping on man.

Seriously. Wake is 108-145 with Childress on our staff. He has a job here because of his personal history with the school. He needs to go prove he can contribute to a winning coaching staff.

We really don’t know what kind of coach Chill might be. Did DM let Chill do things his way? Did he listen to Chill? I don’t know, but they never seemed to chummy the few times I saw them on tv.

This or he can even pull a Forbes and go coach at a JUCO and work his way up from there. Forbes went from JUCO HC to P5 HC in 7 years. That's a pretty quick trajectory, but this path probably makes the most sense if Chill wants to be a HC eventually.
 
Childress coming back as an asst through the bzaster and manning years was a terrible idea. He should have got on with a good program somewhere and worked his way up. Hell he would have been fired from Wake already in a past coaching change if our former illustrious leader didn't force assistants on new head coaches. His time back at Wake has never made any sense to me.
