Steve Forbes credibility watch

Pedulla told the Wake bench they couldn’t f-ing guard him, Forbes said “shut your f-ing mouth, shut your f-ing mouth” and they both got teed up.

Mike Young asked Forbes what Pedulla said. When Forbes told him, Young yelled at Pedulla to keep his f-ing mouth shut.
 
I was listening on the radio at that point. According to Stan, Padulla was “giving the Wake bench the business.” Hope that helps haha.

He has almost 0 fan support to work with. Guy is having to play his home games in a tractor pull arena 4x too big for college basketball. He has Mit Shah to support the program. Everyone else is focused on football or their own lives. Admissions won’t work with him. Cheating does him no good now since there are no rules for anyone now.

We don’t exactly have an appealing job in this era of hoops. Any Coach who takes our job now knows the Southern Conference is a real possibility.

Forbes works his butt off. And he’s a good dude. We need to give him the full four years. And a fifth with any showing of promise next year.

When we had Dumbo, lazy Manning we had a problem. Now we know our problems are a lot bigger than our Coach.

Unfortunately RPI is out of the process, and was replaced by the NET which we were 84th in entering today.

Building pretty much an opposite resume to last year -- played a decent non-conf SOS and have three possible Quad 1 wins already, but our metrics aren't the strongest.

But as long as we can keep playing well and get those respectable we'll be in with a chance to dance
 
Always liked Hamilton and thought he was as solid a Coach as the ACC has.
Shouldn't we consider changing the name of this thread? How about just "Steve Forbes".
I mean aren't we well past questioning Coach Forbes "credibility"?? I personally find it offensive.
 
Nic Cage hasn’t been credible since Face/Off and that was during the Duncan era

Forbes cut his teeth in the old recruiting format under the old rules. He can absolutely coach, but I think this transition time is tough for a number of programs who aren't blue bloods right now. Do you build with transfers or build with borderline top 100 guys and Euros? Can you do it with both? Which is the better way? Those are questions without real answers right now. We have a fanbase with heightened expectations after last year, but building a team with key transfers doesn't allow you to create chemistry with guys who have been playing together a couple of years, and that is how Wake has built its program in the past. Right now, Cam and Marsh are the guys who fit that mold. Williamson to an extent too even though he's a transfer, and possibly Monsanto, but it's pretty clear that Williamson hasn't played full speed all year and Monsanto is also having issues with shot selection, etc...

I don't know what the answer is, and I'm not sure Forbes does either, but I don't blame Forbes for that. The new recruiting environment is going to sink a lot of quality coaches before they are able to figure it out.

lots of people made definitive judgments about a team that was a work in progress figuring itself out.
 
Wake team seems to be improving game by game. Probably will be some regression in some games. Klintman being a contributor is a big addition. So is Cam finding his 3 pt stroke. Hope those two against BC weren't a fluke.

Against FSU, the three point shooters showed out. Against BC, Bobi and Cam combined for 5 threes. Good to see this team can win blowouts with different contributors.

By the way, Bobi is 7-12 from deep in ACC play.
