Wake Forest 2023 baseball season thread (Deacs end historic season with extra inning loss to LSU: Final record 54-12 and top 4 finish nationally)

I think it was his first home run, but one of them seemed like a solid pitch that was low and he went and got it with enough power to hit it out over the center field wall. Super impressive.

I'm kind of assuming they did something makeshift and slapped it on the wall amid the post-game celebration. Maybe somebody who stuck around the stadium can confirm?

I watched the celebration for a bit but had to get in there for the press conferences.

Also: Holy shit on the first few pages of this thread. They're hilarious to read now.

The Deacs are primed for another big jump in 2023, returning the bulk of the starting lineup while adding some key players in the transfer portal. Wake Forest is likely to begin the year ranked in the top-10 nationally as one of the teams with an excellent shot of extending their season all the way to a run at the College World Series in Omaha.
 
So our pod will be Texas/Stanford + LSU/UK + USM / Utenn right? And it’s played just like regionals with winner going to champ series?
 
They need to clean up home plate in this LSU game. Zero frame of reference for the strike zone for the viewer.

ESPN+ replay from yesterday this morning said multiple times we had lost 12….guess they were already factoring in we would lose today and tomorrow?
