Dave Bush did it. A notable Wake exception. He did throw more innings than Minacci, but he was not a long guy.
I stand (exceptionally) corrected!Dave Bush did it. A notable Wake exception. He did throw more innings than Minacci, but he was not a long guy.
The way the Reds see Lowder.
Cincinnati Reds draft Wake Forest pitcher Rhett Lowder in first round of 2023 MLB Draft
Rhett Lowder posted a 1.87 ERA, and his biggest highlight was seven shutout innings against LSU in the College World Series.www.cincinnati.com
Nah, you’ll see him pitching for the Dodgers or Yankees eventuallyit does kinda suck that i just assume we won't ever hear from skenes again now that he's in the pirates system
i think what changes that thought process is quality starters are really only needed to go 5 innings now. not that much to stretch outSomebody can draft him and try to stretch him into a starter ... but if you haven't been a starter or even a long guy in 3 years of college, it's pretty much cemented that you're a reliever.
Four of the first like 25 college pitchers I’m guessingMan, 5 of the first 60 or so college players drafted are from WF. That is incredible.
Glad to have a reason to root for Morgan. He was part of a soul crushing play in Wake postseason history but it was a legitimately great play, not banking in a 3-pointer or some awful lucky play.Rays draft LSU's Tre Morgan. Was very impressed by him in the CWS. Rays know what they are doing. FWIW, the Rays also have Bobby Seymour at 1B in their system and he has played well in the Rays system.
