I'm doing everything I can to change the conversation on this sports board stuff. Already tired of talking about anything related to Wake football or beat writers we are beating a dead horse

Taking the kiddo to his first movie this weekend solo lets get HYPE what could go wrong

Wife bought tickets this morning for the Paw Patrol movie on Saturday morning.

This will be his third. First was Minions: The Rise of Gru. Then we saw the new Puss in Boots movie, which honestly was probably not appropriate for him.

is paw patrol actually copaganda

i haven't seen an episode

You know what's uppppp. Any tips? I feel like a giant bag of popcorn kept him engaged for almost an entire half of Wake Football so I'm hoping a similar play here + actually carrying about the movie will make it easy.

There is a police themed doggo who's kind of a main character (last movie was all about his own insecurities and overcoming his fears blah blah blah), but that's kind of the extent of it.

I have instructed my kid that Chase is mostly good, but we shouldn't blindly trust him just because of the paw patrol uniform.

this will be our son's 3rd as well. we looked at the kid movie release calendar early in the year and circled this one as what should be his first since we know he'll like it. but then my sister said he might like Mario, and he did! wife took him to see Elemental and he got a bit bored. though we watched it recently at home and he was into it.

I'm glad there's not a Wake game next weekend to interfere (really glad now, obvi, but we had bought tix before the GT game).

To be fair, you wouldn't expect Death to be the main villain of a kids movie.

he doesn't do a lot of actual "policing."

I don't think he's ever arrested anyone

We did a long talk before hand about how we needed to be quiet and would have to leave if he talked too loud or too much and then bought the biggest tub of popcorn they had plus some candy.

popcorn, candy.

we go to a smaller theater for movies with him and sit toward the back and on the aisle so easy to make a quick escape. but we figure that an 11 am showing of Paw Patrol (or, I would hope, any showing of that movie) is all parents with kids so they get it.
