Steve Forbes credibility watch

This is a once every 7-8 years assemblage of talent for us. Anything less than making the dance is a failure.

I’m looking forward to seeing how Reid does against top flight centers like PJ Hall and Burns. If he can hold his own against the likes of those two, we have a good shot at being a top four team in the ACC, which is probably what we need to do to ensure a ticket to the dance. Winning on the road is also something that this team will need to show it can do- something that has not happened consistently yet in Forbes tenure.

After today 4 straight home games and then our first road game is at Boston College. Nice way to ease in

Quinton Post will be another big man I'm looking forward to Reid taking on. Post seems to always lock our ass. He stretches the floor, so we might see Carr on him some as well.

damn just looked up his stats. He's killing it so far this year. Averaging 20 points and 8 rebounds

Reid is not only a 7-footer, he’s a mobile 7-footer who actually jumps. If he can stay healthy, he’ll be fine.

It is going to be extremely difficult to make the dance with our OOC resume, even if we win 14 games in conference.

We have to probably go at least .500 against this lineup: @FSU, UVA, @State, @UNC, @Pitt, @Duke, @UVA, Duke, @VT, Clemson.

That would give us five (likely) Q1 wins, and means we probably won 15 games in conference given the rest of the teams are worse. We would almost certainly be the ACCT 1 or 2 seed.

As of right now, the Florida win is Q2 and the Rutgers win is Q3, to give some perspective. That is likely to change, but still...

That has changed so much. Used to be an ACC team that went .500 or certainly better was usually in.

We are banking on the commitee giving us some lee way if we are a legit different team with Reid. Which seems to be the case, and seems to be something they will take into consideration. If we play like a top 25-35 team the rest of the way, we will make it. But as has been said, we gotta win especially on the road.

Yeah the ACC used to be better. The committee has also gotten better at identifying when mid-majors are actually good instead of just assuming they were playing trash and therefore cannot possibly be as good as a middling power conference team.

Credible. Get Monsanto back and this is a really good team.
