2024 Wake Women's Basketball Offseason - Grad transfer SMU PG Tamia Jones

It shouldn't have been 10 seconds because they got it over in 8 seconds. But there should have been a 9 second difference between shot clock and game clock, so they probably wouldn't have fouled.

I mean idk it’s the third help defender and she’s 6’3 and Williams is 5’9 and she barely touches her after the pass?? Like such a garbage fucking call from these 3 fucking idiots

That was a brutal call in that situation. Stole the win from us. You just don’t make that call with 6 seconds left.

They should put that game under protest, I’m serious. I have never seen so many consistent blown calls against one team from the literal tip. Just an absolute farce of a game.

I went back into the game 30 seconds after I was escorted out but sat quietly and bit my tongue cuz I didn’t wanna get a trespass charge or some other BS. It was painful to keep quiet.

Those three refs should never be 20 feet away from a CYO game, let alone major college athletics.
 
Low scoring game at #12 State.

Deacs outscored State 31-24 in the 3rd! Down 48-47 to start the 4th. Jordan 4-4 from deep.

Took the lead at 50-48 and State poured it on from there. Deacs lose 75-57. They play the #11 seed Wed at 6.

The WF women play UVA Wednesday at 6:30 pm in the opening round of the ACCT (ACCN). Guess what? The ladies jumped Pitt in the ACC standings as the result of the modest 2 game win streak. Deacs are seeded 14th. WF needs to win five games in five days to make the NCAAT. Easy peezy.... Otherwise, the season mercifully ends this week.
 
Davidson ended their season due to too many injuries. Same problem TCU encountered but they were able to recruit volleyball players and walk-ons. I feel really bad for them having to forfeit games.

She played at East Surry HS, redshirted and played one year at State, transferred to Davidson, and put up good numbers including 39.5% from deep and 88.9% from the line. So Wake would basically be a homecoming for a grad transfer from the COVID year. A 23/24 year old 6-3 stretch big would a great addition.
 
Liz Kitley won her 3rd ACC POY award. Is there a bigger recruiting miss in Wake sports history?

That's wrong. Hoover did everything she could to land Kitley. Kitley considered WF, largely because of her father's WF connection, but he was adamant that she choose the school that was best for her. There's an article that was previously posted on this board that detailed this. There was a similar situation before Liz, with Lucky Rudd, Delaney Rudd's daughter. She choose NC State over WF. WF is a hard sell in women's basketball. WF is last by miles in fan support, and now in NIL.

Rodrekka Rogers went to Myers Park HS and went on to play at Ga Tech. Three-year starter.

She's coaching at Ga State now.

Yes, plenty. But there might not be a worse case of misinformation than "Wake/Hoover didn't try to recruit her!!!111!!"
