2023-2024 NCAA Men's Basketball Thread

I mean, I'm referring about nearly identical record quad comparisons, which should equalize the strength of schedule. And that wouldn't justify one team being safely in and another team not even being on the bubble

The quads are just one of many pieces of the puzzle.

According to the quad system a home win vs the 30th team is the same as a home win vs the best team in the country. Every other system would differentiate between those games though and all those other systems have MSU ahead of us, some of them by a pretty significant margin.

Just looking at the two images posted, MSU are ahead of us in literally every metric, including the quads, even though they're close to being the same.

State making it in was almost the nail in the coffin for me not filling out a bracket this year. It’s all so frustrating. The only reason I’ll do it is because my kids will want to.

I love NCAA tourney time. I've gotten over the pain of WF basketball sucking for most of my adult life and have learned to enjoy the games. I enjoy watching a little school take down a powerhouse, the buzzer beaters, the unknown kids who show out, all of it.

I'll never forget cutting out of work early, being at a bar on Friday and watching all the games surrounding ours when we got Cleveland Steamered. Just makes every game so much more exciting when your team is also dancing. Sigh.

We probably don’t know, but does Forbes have any such contract provisions? With a secure contract for the next five years, wish I knew what is going to drive him to do whatever it takes to get over this hump.

Obviously he’s incredibly competitive but the same issues keep cropping up. It’s not crazy to think we’re making next years tourney, but also not crazy to imagine being in this same basic position on Selection Sunday 2025.

I don't doubt Forbes's drive one bit. Will he be able to figure out what this team needs to get over the hump? I don't know, but I am sure he will give it 100%.

I read on Twitter that Keats is gonna make millions for winning the ACCT. he owes Bennett a fruit basket
$10,000 for the NCAA Tourney berth
$100,000 for ACC Tourney win
$400,000 raise next season + 2 year contract extension
