NCAA Tournament Discussion Thread - One Shining Moment - UConn Huskies

DV7 isn’t wrong that Purdue’s entire team besides Edey forgetting how to play basketball is a problem.

UConn is just a fun team to watch. They’re so well coached and run some incredible sets.
I'm geeking out showing my wife how well they move off picks.

So well coached and the players have obviously all bought into what Hurley is selling. Good for them. I'm not at all jealous.

This feels like 2018 Villanova in terms of dominance.
That team had more star power than we realized at the time.
Purdue isn't a bad team, it's just that they're basically Edey and a supporting cast of decent role players. UConn is far more balanced and talented overall, imo. Edey can't beat UConn all by himself, and it seems clear that the rest of his team just isn't up to the task of giving him much help, at least not against this level and quality of opposition.
Similar to Iowa-SC yesterday.

UConn definitely sounds like a basketball school compared to University of Connecticut

Don't think I've ever seen a coach get a warning for touching his player while the ball was in play.

Damnit. Needed 2 more rebounds out of Clingan to hit a 4 way parlay.

Edey got worked on defense, but the rest of the team did absolutely nothing on either side of the ball. Really awful effort from those guys. Hurley was daring anybody else to step up and Purdue had nothing.

this Spencer guy's brother played four years of college lacrosse, won it's Heisman equivalent, transferred to Northwestern as a grad student to play hoops, bounced around the g league and made his NBA debut for the Warriors in february

p crazy
