I don't understand Orozco Fiscal even being called up, but I don't mind the rest of that backline.
 
Orozco? Don't I hate that shitbag? I seem to remember him being completely dire in the few matches that he played in last time he was called up.
 
Yeah I don't mind trying Edu as a CB. At that position, we pretty much need to throw spaghetti at the wall and see what sticks. And he's probably the odd man out in central midfield anyway.

Apparently he can't hack the same schedule and travel that Johnson, Williams, and Jones are enduring.

Screw him. I'm sure Nuremberg asked him to rest his strained Fallopian tube instead of going to Azteca, yet he'll be playing 90 in their next match.

I'd say it's time for Jurgen to offer an ultimatum. He plays against Jamaica or his chance of playing for the US has passed.
 
If he doesn't want to play against Jamaica he can wait until the next WC cycle. That's what I'd tell him.
 
Is Omar Gonzales cap tied yet? Wasn't he one who was eligible for either us or Mexico? He was one of the best cb's in MLS before his ACL, and he seems to be coming back to form.

Personally, he and Chandler are on my wish list for Jamaica.

Too soon for Omar, and I'm a giant fanboy. Camp Cupcake is probably the next time Jurgen should think about calling him in.

I imagine Orozco is there because the game is in Mexico and he's in the Mexican league. I mean, every other American in that league other than Bornstein got the call, so it seems like the staff started from there and filled in the blanks.

I'm halfway expecting Mexico to dominate, but keep missing the target, and we somehow escape with a result, and then have every moron fan claim that we don't need Deuce, Jozy, MB, etc, because that would make me insane.

I'm more expecting pain though.
 
Injury and recovery. I think his injury showed just how strong a defender he is, because LA looked like horseshit at the beginning of the year without him back there. He just hasn't had enough minutes yet to get back to where he needs to be to have a meaningful impact on the national team. I have no doubts that he will be able to though.

If we keep it within 3 goals then that is a positive "result" for this squad. And I'm dead serious in saying that.
