2021-22 Wake Forest Basketball Season - 25-9 (13-7), KP#33

Any potential grad transfers on that list?
 
Does the Oklahoma board even have a Alondes Williams lack of appreciation thread?
 
So far we have gone 3-1 in KP "tossup" games and 2-0 in games KP projected a relatively easy victory. Need to hold serve in those other 4 wins

Louisville

KP has us as a significant underdog (18%) at Duke

The remaining 5 games all have winning expectancy between 40% and 60% - virtual toss-ups:
UNC W
at Cuse L
at FSU W
at NC State W
at Clemson

We go 6-0 in the games we *should* win, 3-2 in the toss-ups, 0-1 at Duke, that gets us to 24-7, 14-6 heading into the ACCT (with a bye to the quarterfinals)

The hoops board on Dirtburglars is pretty dead, but surprisingly no Alondes thread. They did resurrect an old Buddy Hield thread for the recent trade, though.
 
 
It’s annoying and insulting to Wake, but at the same time brings attention to the good job that Forbes is doing and it’s all the more fun when he spurns suitors and makes news for getting a new contract with us. Things like that only benefit us in the transfer portal race.
 
Why in the holy hell would Steve Forbes want to join the flaming dumpster fire that is Louisville basketball right now? That job destroyed Chris Mack’s career. Forbes may decide to leave but I highly doubt it will be for a mess that anywhere as bad as Louisville.
 
With the dark clouds hanging over Louisville, it’s hard to see that Louisville is a better job over the next 4-5 years for Forbes. UNC and Dook will be down & Forbes has show. Quickly he can mix it up. He must be thinking he really can win a title at Wake Forest. Louisville will always be second fiddle to Kentucky and they will very likely face some consequences sooner than later. Of course, $$$.
 
The amount of money Louisville makes from their basketball program is bonkers. All they need is a halfway competent AD.
 
There is absolutely no reason Forbes cannot win a title at Wake. He doesn’t need to leave. We have a top tier school, top facilities, awesome campus, all the resources. After one real recruiting cycle, he took our roster from the basement to one of the best in the conference. We are legitimately more talented than UNC.

Imagine what he can do when the winning starts. When Wake becomes a focus in the college basketball world instead of an afterthought. Winning is easier when you’re already doing it.
 
Just tuned into game day to catch them talking about their 'draft of teams', shockingly no Williams on there. Picked 18 players.
 
Were you really shocked that Wake did get respect on a national sports show?
 
they did a super bowl tie in bit where they compared a super bowl player to a current cbb player.
