2024 NCAA College Baseball Thread

Made this for baseball outside of Wake. Some happenings so far from today:

Dook has beat Indiana 6-3 in Conway. Granted it’s the first game and all, but I’m not too sure if Duke looked like #12. Santucci definitely looked great

Indiana St beat Louisville 8-7. Looks like the Sycamores could be running it back again, this year. If anyone’s looking for a game to watch after ours this afternoon Texas Tech and Tennessee @ 8 oughta be good.
 
There is some major variance in the spreads of college baseball games. On Fan Duel Clemson is -260 against Xavier. On DraftKings the same game is -215. You would not find that kind of variance in any other betting market.

And more on this too for anyone interested— take this as you may, but most books don’t know shit about college baseball. I saw some outright abusable lines last season.
 
Yes there is money to be made in the college baseball market IMO. Wake doesn't have any lines I see domestically, but Bovada has Wake -6.5 against Fordham with the total 13.5.

6.5 seems really low....
 
HPU is struggling already. Down 0-3 after 1.
 
crazy bottom of 6th in VMI-LSU game
VMI was up 6-5 but have hit five tiger batters in the inning
 
Florida down 8-5 to St. John's in top of 8th.

Really unfortunate two day stretch for George Mason. Lost to Coastal 26-0 and Duke 23-5
 
Duke and Coastal are in a tight game. Duke hit 11 HRs yesterday. That's going to be a huge series for us coming up very soon.

We have Coastal immediately after Duke and then again later this season. So it’s basically a wash for us if you’re talking about SOS since one of the Coastal games is away.

Nah, not really worried about SOS. Just that Duke is going to be a tough out and were the only team last year that actually had a chance to take a series from us. And they look even better this year.
