2024 Wake Baseball Thread: What Did We Do To Deserve This?

hawke at dh. don't recall the exact DH rules -- would we be allowed to move a position player to DH and put in a defensive sub. e.g. move reinisch to DH and put javar or nelson into the field?

i understand the logic, but #nervous about reinisch in the outfield -- especially once we have relievers in (assuming burns doesn't throw a complete game). somewhat surprised we didn't opt for king in CF and hawke at 2b since that would offer more flexibility late in the game, but seems like they really don't wanna mess with the infield.

kinda interesting, kinda small sample size on an already iffy metric -- but synergy has been doing defensive outfield runs and king is actually worst on the team in outfield flyball runs (not sure if CF is graded more harshly than corner OF). winnay, reinisch, salvino and javar are all negative in that order. granted, if you extrapolate his innings played, reinisch is probably worst which matches the eye test. morales and nelson are both in the positive. and i think we all really felt the impact of that awful outfield defense early in the season.

unc's vance honeycutt is rated #1 in the country. clemson's RF (alden mathes) is 4th best.
