Any recommendations on a good brand or a cool style?

I'm in a bowling league, I really want my own ball. Was thinking about a 16lb, I'd hate to go lower because I figure over time a 15 lber would be too light.

I want to hear from you Quad.

If you are used to throwing a 16, then get a 16. If not, start with something lighter, or you will get fatigued before you finish your series.

Other than that, recommendations vary wildly, depending on your style. Are you a hook bowler, or do you throw straight on? How oily are the lanes you bowl at?

Personally, I think you should go with one like Janeane Garofalo had in Mystery Men. Style and intimidation.

Straight on, I don't hook it.

The lanes are oily, def bowling at an old school place.

I'm from the Fred Borden school of bowling, I use the "money shot" and everything I know I learned from Hottinger.
