BBall Recruiting Megathread - Crawford, Moore, & Collins ALL TO WAKE!

I'd take him at the back end of the lottery for sure.

oh yeah you are right, i forgot. we knew anthony fields was arm-less though.

i'm getting PUMPED about d green. his offer sheet is even better than i thought, and a lot of bigs suck balls their first year -- kaminsky, payne, etc. (i'm assuming there are others), and d green gets to work with #MANNUP.

plus he's had two years to turn himself into a DEADLY 18 foot jump shooter.

is that offer list legitimate? California and Marquette? Also had offers from Witchita State and Creighton.

I recall what buckets is remembering..there were absolutely no pictures or videos of Green.

Are NBA guys like Ollie and Hoiberg having success with elements of NBA style? Iowa State plays like an NBA team. I'd be curious about their Orebounding/transition defensive styles.

Update on this: I read this morning that UConn is the first national champion in the Kenpom era (last 12 seasons) that hasn't been a great offensive rebounding team (at least 35%). 2014 UConn is only 30.4%.

The vast majority of good college basketball teams still offensive rebound well but perhaps it is shifting a bit where different styles are working as FYC suggested.

Additionally, they grabbed rebounds at a lower rate than this for 5 of their 6 tournament games. I know it's a small sample size, but it shows that they didn't just have a stretch during the tournament where they grabbed a lot of their misses.

St. Joseph's 33.3%
Villanova 22.6%
Iowa St. 20.8%
Michigan St. 21.2%
Florida 25.0%
Kentucky 25.8%

Wasn't Green offered by the Celtics? Rivers was on record saying he would probably supplant Garnett in the starting lineup by Thanksgiving. Eligibility problems, if I remember correctly.

I think he is implying that Daniel Green is a vastly overhyped player by a coach desperate to keep his job.

I think Wake offered and nobody else had, and then other schools came calling late. It started off somewhat similar to Rondale, but improved quickly.

If we have an extra scholarship from Daniel graduating, I'd go for it. That was we can still get a big.

Do you mean if he graduates after one more year? I've seen no indication that is the case and we already have a spot open right now for anyone who wants to come in as a graduate guy. I haven't seen Zeisloft play, nor had I heard much about him prior to his announcement that he was leaving Illinois State, but I would suspect (similar to Coron) that he may have some issues on defense.

I've never seen him play either. But he is listed at 6'4" and played 64% of the minutes on a good defensive team (68th).

I have no idea if our staff would even want a grad student transfer 3 point specialist for next year. But when I saw that a good one became available yesterday I just posted about it because it is such a need for the roster.

Daniel Green is my kind of balck!

Mother So Dear's culture does not cotton to gangsters and hoodlums!

Never has and never will.

Over my dead body will we ever recruit another unsavory balck player like James Johnson or Jeff Teague!!!!

Academics first, GOD NAMMIT!!!!

Win the right way with four year players, I say.

According to Scout, Daniel Green had offers from: California, Wichita State, UNC-W and .... Tulsa. Clemson, VT and VCU showed interest, but did not offer.

That or you just get a pair of guards who go fucking bonkers in the NCAA tourney.
