The previous bowl sponsored by Buffalo Wild Wings will now be known as simply, the Cactus Bowl.

With Capital One becoming the naming rights sponsor for the Orange Bowl, the Capital One Bowl in Orlando, Florida, is expected to be renamed the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl, industry sources told ESPN.

The Capital One Bowl had been the name of the game in Orlando since 2003, but Capital One replaced Discover as the naming rights sponsor for the Orange Bowl in Miami Gardens. Discover had been the Orange's naming sponsor the past four seasons.

With Capital One replacing Discover, the Orlando bowl needed a new name. Buffalo Wild Wings had sponsored a bowl in Tempe, Arizona, the past two seasons but chose not to renew its sponsorship. The Tempe bowl will be called the Cactus Bowl this season.

The Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl will be played Jan. 1, featuring teams from the SEC and Big Ten. Kickoff is at 1 p.m. ET.

The Cactus Bowl will be played Jan. 2, featuring teams from the Pac-12 and Big 12 conferences.

The Capital One Orange Bowl will be played Dec. 31, featuring a team from the ACC against a team from the SEC, Big Ten or Notre Dame. The Orange Bowl will host a College Football Playoff semifinal after the 2015 regular season.

What it should be called is the Capitalist Greedy Money Grubbing Old Rich Peoples Bowl.

Can you please compose 3-4 paragraphs detailing how Wake Forest will never be invited to another bowl and we're all living in a fantasy world for thinking so? Thanks in advance!

There's no need for me to waste my time explaining it to you mindless morons any more, I've made my thoughts known time and time again, just go back and look up what I've stated numerous times.

The wings at the one in Winston are terrible. Or I have shitty luck when I go there.

They are. They used to be much better, but a few years ago, it seems like they decided to cut some serious costs by ordering really shitty wings and relying on their sauces to cover it up while trading on their brand.

Chalk it up to the greedy capitalist society we live in, where people want to make to make money above all else. Imagine how much better the wings would taste if we were living in socialist country.

The ones I get either seem really fatty or they are just plain overcooked. Which sucks because I do love their sauces. Spicy Garlic is my jam!

I hope they can reverse things, but they are slowly becoming the Howard Johnson's of wings.

This is exactly what is wrong with college bowl games....among other things. If the college bowl name has more than 3 words it shouldn't be played....:rulz:

On the other hand, some citrus wings could be very good.

At least they added the Citrus part back so it's not entirely a sponsor title like it was before

Actually the Citrus Bowl was a corporate name. The Florida Citrus Growers Association changed the name from the Tangerine Bowl to the Florida Citrus Bowl.

That will be a great venue moving forward. Not a bad spot to be in late December.

Somehow a bowl as second rate as the Florida Citrus Bowl was involved in the determination of the National Champion, leading to the creation of the Bowl Coalition shortly thereafter.

This is also probably a set-up to try and get into the bowl playoff cycle once the new stadium is complete - didn't the Chick-fil-A Bowl change back to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl because the playoff wants all of the bowls to have their "traditional" names, along with the sponsor?

I will be really suspicious if a sprinkler goes off during a FG kick as the time expires.
