Chapman hit in head with batted ball.

Sounds like he's fine, just a laceration. Full movement, never lost consciousness.
 
Broken bones in nose and face. Ball was coming back at 112 mph.
 
I would think that after an incident like this, it would be really hard to not let it affect you going forward.
 
he's getting a metal plate in his head. escaped with a minor concussion, broken bones, and some lacerations. Article didn't comment on his return to BB but I know this has affected other players in the past and I'm not sure how soon he'd even get medically cleared.
