I've always liked the vibe at the Hard Rock, but wanted hear where the board prefers to lose its money in Vegas.

Goin in a couple weeks and staying at the Wynn, but I've always hated gambling there...place runs like a machine and the dealers seem to get off on ruthlessly emptying your pockets.

Thoughts?

I love Bill's, Caesar's and The Mirage.

I agree about the vibe at Hard Rock but gambing sucks there. The pools are awesome though.

MGM is decent I had some really hilarious dealers when I went in Sept., Bellagio is obviously the tits but I'm too poor to go there. I thought Planet Hollywood had a decent younger crowd but haven't spent too much time there. NY, NY is basically a circus. Paris is pretty solid too and pretty easy to find an open seat.

I like Hard Rock a lot. Probably my fave.

Cosmopolitan- awesome. great location. Sportsbook sucks.

Treasure Island- love the casino. Probably because I had a sick craps run and the place was electric for a couple nights in a row.

Always seem to end up at Planet Hollywood one way or another. Pretty central location, fun crowd, cool casino floor.

I like Planet Hollywood and the Paris...but don't really mind anywhere on the strip.

Bill's was great when it was Barbary coast- do they still have great Chinese in the coffee shop?

If you're drunk late at night and near the end of the strip, go see Joey Vegas at the Trop. He's been there forever. If you're not having fun, he demands you to or leave.

MGM has always sucked to me. Flamingo is the worst for comps.

Rio has always been good. So has the Mirage.

Last time I was in Vegas I stayed at the Cosmopolitan 3 nights. Swanky new hotel in City Center. I go to checkout through the VIP checkout, because a buddy had arranged our reservations through one of their hosts. Well, I'm expecting a decent bill. After bringing my complimentary drink, the lady says my bill is $18 dollars. I'm like what that can't be right? She says everything has been comped except 3 beers I had at the pool (one morning when I had to have a sit and decompress for a few mins). I hadn't gambled a ton, not nearly enough to warrant a comp anywhere close to that, and barely even used my comp card even when I was gambling. Well, I'm very grateful and pay the bill and leave thinking this was the best trip EVAR. A few days later they called me and said it was a mistake, I had not gambled enough to get a comp and they needed to charge me the full bill. I said hell 2 da naw. It took some back and forth but they eventually relented. FTW!

I can't believe they even caled. Nothing positive could ever come out of the call.

Exactly, Hard Rock is old faithful...pool swim up blackjack by day, back again on the tables late night/AM...haven't tried Cosmo, thanks for the rec

Mandalay Bay is the shit.

Forgot about Mandalay (probably because of the 15 kamikaze's I drank last time I gambled there), love that place. We stayed in the two-story penthouse there about 5 years ago hooked up by one of my father-in-law's business contacts who's a highroller. Rev Run from Run DMC was stayin nextdoor to us, this was back when his show was on MTV. Me and my brother's in law were going down to the pool at the same time as Rev Run and his fam, so they're in the elevator with us. We're just kind of awkwardly thinking of things to say to them, and my bro in law just goes "Who's House?", and they busted out laughing...classic. They actually had the cabana next to us at the pool so we got to chill with them which was pretty sick. Good times.

Bellagio, Aria, Venetian, and Paris, in that order Obviously partial to mid-strip. Haven't gambled at the Wynn, but would like to check it out the next time I am in Vegas - it's just a haul.

It's not the nicest, but the MGM just makes me think of Vegas. Plus, lions.

I like Paris because of the food though. :)

A few years ago I would have said Slots-A-Fun, but it really sucks now. Nowadays it's Mandalay for me.

Rio has always been good. So has the Mirage.

Sounds good, I'll check it out. Heard good things about the Rio but never really spent any time there, thanks for the recs.

I heard a great Vegas story on the golf course last weekend. So, this guy buys drugs for his group off a recommended limo driver. Good stuff. The catch is that the limo driver won't sell small quantities because it's not worth it. So they have to buy a lot, and only a couple of them were into it. Anywho, the weekend ends and there is a decent amount left over. The main purchaser is already set to return to Vegas in about 4 months. Adequate Vegas recovery time, barely. So he stuffs the remainder into double zip lock bags, wraps that in a mcdonalds bag, and stuffs it into a "crevasse" in the hard rock hotel parking garage. Fast forward 4 months and he returns with a friend, who is also into this particular lifestyle, and their first stop in the cab from the airport is to the Hard Rock parking garage- they were not staying there mind you, much to the confusion of the cab driver- who was even more confused at the guy's triumphant run back to the cab, as he was apparently rejoicing over the discovery of garbage, in the form of a wadded up mcdonalds bag.
