... from when I was in high school and college in my car. I had a show on Wake Radio my freshman year (2002-2003) which made me burn a bunch of CDs for shows, and the rest must just be collected through the years. I listened to them and, for the most part, the stuff still rocks, but there are definitely some regrets.. I'll post a list of the songs from the CDs (there are 5 I think) and you can decide what still rocks and what is cringe-worthy. If you were at WFU from 2002-2006 like me, or maybe a little before or after, these songs might be a balst from the past for you, too.

I was going to include Youtube links, but thought better of including full videos so you can decide which ones you wanna check out. Plus it was gonna be a TON of work, so screw that.

I wonder how many times a Violent Femmes song has been played on Wake radio? Probably over a million.

The funny thing is that a bunch of these songs are on albums that I still listen to regularly and some are ones that I hope I never hear again.

I was hoping that sloth, townie, and other musical folks would chime in on musical blasts from the past.

Thank goodness you put Dylan and the Stones on your list ... so I could recognize at least 2 of the groups. #oldguy

looking at your list, we should have a WAKE Radio show together. My plethora of mix CDs made for my radio show would look rather similar.

I know very little new music unless it's played on NPR. #AnotherOldGuy
I recently heard these guys and like 'em.

Did you have one? I really thought at one point you did. Maybe I'm crazy.

Yeah, I did. I was PR Director of the station senior year. If I found my mixes they'd look the same.

Okay fine, who am I kidding, Straylight Run and Taking Back Sunday are totally in my CD changer in my car right now. I never stopped listening to that stuff.

I still have the first mix tapes I made from the early 80s when I was recording some songs off the radio.

Confession: I recorded ice ice baby off kiss 95.1 back in the day. Remember waiting through commercials with my hand on the button.

Yo Vanilla, kick it one more time boyeeeeeeeee

Kriss Kross "Jump"

might have been

2002 dashboard confessional, anyone? That it didn't show up on one of these CDs is only a coincidence.

I might have that beat; I saw Saves the Day in concert early 2000s (I was in high school so early 02 or sooner) and Dashboard opened.
