This year's going to be the most underwhelming list of finalists ever, right?

Johnny Football (are you kidding me with that nickname?)
Manti Teo (LB averaging 8 tackles per game, happens to be on #1 team)
AJ McCarron (= Ken Dorsey)
Kenjon Barner (= poor man's LaMichael James)
Colin Klein (Baylor killed his Heisman hopes)

Not that he will get consideration, but homeboy from SJSU, David Fales, is having a helluva season. Up there in completion %, yards, TD, QB rating, and only has 8 INTs.

If Boyd lights up South Carolina next week, he'll likely get into it. Kinda hope Teo wins it at this point, just for the novelty of a defensive guy getting one.

I will be legit pissed if Teo wins it and Suh didn't. It would be a fucking travesty.

Teo just happens to be a good story/player on a good defensive team. No way should he come anywhere close to sniffing the heisman.

In his junior season AC had 99 tackles, 13.5 TFL, 4 picks (3 returned for TD) and 2 forced fumbles. Obviously that team wasn't #1 in the country but he wasn't even a first team AA much less a Heisman candidate.

True. He was the number one pick in the draft though. So, it worked out well for him until he had to play in the NFL.

No need for TEO to get it. I would give it to Johnny U because he will be the Only team to beat bama this year and was the biggest reason they won

Johnny Manziel absolutely deserves the Heisman.

In 2010 Cam Newton had a dominating season:
2854 passing yards with 30 tds/7 int, 1273 rushing yards with 20 tds.

In 2012 Manziel has:
3047 passing yards with 21 tds/7 int, 1114 rushing yards with 17 tds.

And Newton's stats are with 3 more games played than Manziel's at this point.

If Teo wins it's a travesty. He has 98 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and 6 ints. Would be the worst winner in the history of the award.

Not according to the NBC guys. They absolutely believe he deserves it.

Cam was undefeated and on the number one team in the nation. With two losses compare him to RG3 and see how he stacks up.

I compared him to Newton because they both ran a similar offensive system with a spread and a lot of read option. Baylor ran a different offense and although RGIII could run, they primarily utilized him as more of a pocket passer as a first option.

RGIII 2011:
4293 passing yards with 37 tds/6 int, 699 rushing yards with 10 tds.

If Manziel just has average games against Missouri and in their bowl, he will exceed the total yardage put up by both Newton and RGIII this season.

And he did it against the gawdalmight SEC.

The sack/ff/fr to end their game vs byu last night to put them at 9-2 was sick... link
