Heading there for work next week. Any places I absolutely have to hit? I have a virtually unlimited budget and will eat almost anything. Thanks.
 
Take a trip to the north shore and go to Giovanni's Shrimp Truck.
Roy's in Honolulu is pretty good.
If you like sushi then Sushi Sasabune is awesome.
 
Definitely planning on some sushi. Thanks for the recs. I will also try to get to the bottom of the Manti Te'o hoax while I'm there.

Blue Water Shrimp Truck (better than Giovanni's)
Pupukea Grill (Amazing)
Duke's (Good)
 
If you have an unlimited budget in honolulu:

La Mer: The best views on the island
Chef Mavro: Former La Mer chef and excellent
Alan Wongs: Great. Do not go to his Pineapple Room restaurant
Michel's: 2nd best views on the island and very, very good again

Less damaging to wallet:

Uncles
Sushi Sasabune
Anywhere in Chinatown
Roys
Dukes (chain but good)
Onos

I second the Diamond Head grill.I ate there my last time in Hawaii and it was awesome.

Chef Marvo is really good too, but like everything else in Hawaii, be prepared to drop some serious cash while you're there.
 
I second Alan Wong's. It's been 10 years, but it was outstanding then, and I assume has kept up since. Duke's was good also, but on a completely different scale. Or you could go to McDonald's and get some Spam and pineapple.
