If You Could Only Have 5 Bottles In Your Bar...

if i was legitimately thinking of opening a bar and could only have 5 bottles, i probably wouldn't open that bar

that said, using the dkn model:

if i wanted to make $ -
bud light (frat bros)
blue moon (ladies)
michelob ultra (ladies)
pbr (hipsters)
yuengling (donks who think it's a step up from the aforementioned)

if i gave a shit about the beers i was serving -

pliny the elder
heady topper
old rasputin
stone enjoy by
founders bfast stout

I think he meant bar at your house. He's a maple fridge kind of guy.
ETA: nevermind he said he's a poor bastard.

Tito's Vodka
Jack Daniels
Red Hare Watership Brown
Kentucky Bourbon Barrell Ale
Tanqueray Gin (for the wife)

Thats cheating.

I don't really like IPAs but a lot of peeps do. So whatever IPA people are liking at the time is cool. I'm good with Bourbon and Thriller Light. Throw in the occasional Ruby Red and soda, and a Bells Oberon here and there and life is good BROTHER.

Deep Ellum IPA
Ciroc
Clase Azul
The Macallen 18 year
Tanqueray

Yeah I was thinking of my personal home bar also. If it was a business venture, I'd go with much poorer quality beverages.

Old Milwaukee
Negra Modelo
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier
Beefeaters Gin
Kraken Rum

if for my personal bar:

Young's Double Chocolate Stout (breakfast)
Troeg's Perpetual IPA (lunch)
Willamette Valley Shea Vineyards Pinot Noir (dinner)
Blanton's (after dinner)
Miller High Life (all day, erry day)

Are we saying that you can have your mixers and liquers too? If so, I'm picking spirits for my sazeracs, manhattans and old fashioneds. If not, I'd probably go high end spirits.

Assuming I've got bitters and liquers:

Boulevard Tank 7
Old Overholt
Hendricks
Bulleit Bourbon
Boulevard Pale Ale

Bud Light
Two Hearted Ale
NoDa Jam Session
Maker's Mark
Tito's Vodka

Mine could be home bar or business venture. Other than wine drinkers, most anyone could find something they like out of those 5.

Bud Light: beer for the masses
Two Hearted Ale: good IPA
NoDa Jam Session: local APA
Maker's: Good, but affordable bourbon
Tito's: Good, but affordable vodka

wild turkey 81
Bombay sapphire gin
Belvedere vodka
dos equis lager
Natural light

the vodka would be for chicks and guests. if this was just for me I'd swap that out for Guiness.

Ты недостаточно мужественным для водки!

Red nectar ale
Johnny walker green
Coors light
Makers
Brew free 21st amendment

Without going batshit crazy on price:

Paradiso Tequila
Remy XO
Knob Creek ( I like it better than Booker's or Baker's)

Those are all I need-for friends:

Johnny Walker Blue
Finlandia Vodka

I can't believe people still drink Jim Beam. It's rot-gut bad. So many good bourbons out there.
