Well our revenue sports might be in the toilet but our women's soccer team, ranked 7th, has started the season 4-0, beating Washington tonight in Portland 1-0 when Katie Stengal scored directly off a corner kick. They play #15 Portland Sunday before opening ACC play at home Thursday against #2 Florida State. There are 6 ACC teams ranked in the top 12.
 
Seriously we are becoming a soccer and tennis school.

Prep. for leaving the ACC?
 
I wonder if they will top 5 this week. Could be a special year if they stay healthy.
 
Wake went to the final 4 two years ago. They are a legit national championship contender this year and Stengel is a national player of the year front runner.

Stengel won the game last night on a made corner kick, as in she curved it into the net from the corner kick lol. She has like three goals and four assists already on the year.
 
You won't see many better goals than that one from Ridgik
 
Two huge soccer games this week. The ladies Thursday versus Fla St. and the men Friday versus UVA, both at Spry I believe.
