Marriott cancelled my reservation for the Masters as it was made before the official announcement. The room was paid in full at the time of booking 2 weeks ago (all documented). Received the following email this am:
"Dear Guest,
Our records indicate that you made one or more reservations at the Courtyard Augusta, GA for the week of November 9th. Due to the current COVID-19 situation, the Masters Golf Tournament has been rescheduled to this time frame. Our hotel is 100% contracted for the Masters Golf Tournament.
We are bound to honor our contract and will not be able to accommodate your reservations. We value your business and would value the opportunity to move your reservation to another date. For support to do this, please connect with us at: 706-737-3737.
On April 10th 2020 we will be canceling your current reservations booked at the Courtyard Augusta. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Thank you,
Gloria Cubero"
Am I just out of luck or is there something that can be done to secure the room/or put Marriott on blast? I am not a big social media user and rarely participate in Twitter.
