Manning named court coach for USA Basketball U18 team

other two court coaches are John Moore of Westmont College and Steve Schmidt of Mott Community College
 
Might fine company he'll be keeping this summer...Donovan, Cooley, and Sean Miller.
 
Based on a quick search for past U18 court coaches, it's one coach from a big time school and the other court coaches are from lower tier schools. Frank Martin and Brad Stevens were the big time coaches who served as U18 court coaches in previous years. Ed Cooley and Buzz Williams were court coaches for the U19 team last year.
 
This is a great thing for Manning as a novice head coach. Experience will be very valuable for him.
 
Gotta think anything that gets him more face time with U18 prospects is good news, too.
